Hey Knitters and Crocheters in the Midwest! Road trip this weekend! Yep, it’s the annual The Fiber Event at Greencastle! It will be held this Friday, April 15, from 1 to 7 p.m., and again on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both times are Eastern Daylight Time (which for me, means an hour earlier than posted!)
The Fiber Event’s Mission: The Fiber Event Committee is committed to providing a marketplace for fiber, equipment, fiber animals and related commodities as well as a learning environment which includes classes, workshops and fellowship.

There will be nearly 100 booths providing everything from rovings, to animals, to spun yarn, to dyes, to …. well whatever your little fiber-loving heart enjoys!
From my Tuesday evening group, there will be about six to eight of us attending on Friday afternoon. A few more may drive up on Saturday.
If you have not attended a fiber event near your home base, I would highly encourage it. Not only will you find hundreds of people who, like you, enjoy knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, etc., but you will also see how those who raise the animals and plants care for their charges.
I am so looking forward to this trip…not only for the shopping aspect, but also for the fellowship and camaraderie of my friends.
If you are attending Greencastle’s Fiber Event, look for me. I’ll be wearing my Ravelry badge with my Rav Name — CLPETTY!
